Looking for a basketball shoe that blends the best of Converse with Nike technology? Look no further than the Converse All Star BB Jet sneaker.

Beginning September 1, the Converse All Star BB Jet will be available in three colorways, offered in men’s sizing. Whether you select the “Red/Black” (out 9/2), “Red/White” or “Black/White/Yellow” colorway, these shoes play upon Converse’s storied history in the game of basketball, tailored to modern specifications.

Relying on Nike React technology, the midsole of the All Star BB Jets includes the Swoosh’s soft foam, with an increased sidewall height to cradle the foot in comfort and keep it firmly in place throughout gameplay.

The silhouette of these men’s sneakers relies on the bold originality of the Chuck Taylor All Star, taking that low-to-the-ground profile and elevating it with lightweight, flexible materials. For instance, the sneaker’s upper swaps out the Chuck Taylor canvas or leather in favor of a breathable, woven mesh. The back half of the All Star BB Jet includes a horizontally ribbed textile that offers structure to the basketball shoe.

Thick, serge-like stitching also contributes to the upper’s construction, bolstered in high-wear areas with a TPU coating. TPU also divides the upper, allowing for fluid on-the-hardwood movement. The lacing system furthers Converse’s commitment to a custom fit, with staggered eyestays for a snug, locked-in feel.

Beneath the thicker React midsole features a rubber outsole with a small diamond traction pattern that enhances precision when driving toward the basket or outpacing an opponent. The sneaker’s lateral side includes an oversized Converse star and chevron, which gets repeated in stitching on the tongue and in a smaller fashion on the medial side.
