Sneakers Release – Jordan 12 Retro “Royalty” White/Metallic Gold/Black Men’s & Kids’ Shoe Dropping 11/13

The Jordan 12 Retro “Royalty” White, Metallic Gold and Black shoe drops November 13 in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.

Michael Jordan was royalty on the court, especially when it came to the Jordan 12. This iteration of his signature shoe was one of the most popular among sneakerheads.

That’s why it should be no surprise that MJ is dropping a majestic new colorway of the Tinker Hatfield design. His Airness is asserting his on-court crown with the Jordan Retro 12 “Royalty” colorway. It’s dropping on November 13 in men’s, grade school kids, preschool and toddler sizing.

You’ll notice right away that this colorway looks a bit familiar. That’s because it’s a rework of the ever-popular “Taxi” colorway from 1996, with a few tweaks. This time around, there’s a white leather upper with a high-contrast black mudguard along the toe and forefoot. A black outsole and half-black midsole keeps the colorblocking going strong. Metallic gold accents at the midfoot mudguard add pizazz, as do similar accents on the grommets, insole logo, tongue branding and heel branding.

The white tongue is covered by black laces, but if you look underneath, you’ll see the classic Jumpman soaring toward the hoop, along with the phrase “Two 3.” At the heel, MJ’s “23” appears again below the word “Jordan” and another Jumpman logo.

All in all, the Jordan Retro 12 “Royalty” bears similarities to the Air Jordan 4 “Royalty” that dropped in 2017, with more of an inverse color scheme. It looks as chic as it feels on your feet. While Jordan did originally wear these as basketball shoes, today, they’re all about showcasing your streetwear threads. Pair them with some tailored joggers or slim-fit jeans, and you’ve got a classy look that will make you stand out in a crowd.

Both kids and adults will love the glitziness of this shoe. It keeps things classy with a simplified color palette while still staying true to its sneakerhead roots.
