The Jordan 4 Retro “Where the Wild Things Are” Pearl White/Dark Driftwood kids’ shoe drops November 5 in toddler, preschool and grade school kids’ sizes.
A tribute to the infamous 1963 children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are,” the new AJ 4 colorway pays homage with a color scheme that matches the original illustrations.
Most of the upper is covered in a light tan, but it’s the accents that make the shoe pop. At the ankle is a fluffy fur collar that makes your little one look ready to take a trek in the tundra. Red support wings wrap around the lateral ankle, while blue ones wrap across the medial edge.
There are also lime green support grommets on the lateral lace edge, as well as pink ones on the medial edge.
Brown accents adorn the midsole in chunky shapes, and on the grade school kids’ shoe, the tongue. On the smaller kids’ shoes, the tongue is covered in fluffy fur. Regardless of construction, both tongues have a Jumpman logo to showcase His Airness’s prowess. You’ll find similar branding on the heel. Underfoot, a white and brown contrast outsole with a peek-a-boo Air panel gives little ones the traction they need as they explore new worlds.
Your kids will look so cute with these kicks on their feet, especially if they wear them to school with jeans and a matching shirt. They’ll get kudos from both their classmates and their teacher for being so committed to a literary classic. Since the color palette here is mostly neutral, these sneakers will match both casual and athletic attires of all styles, whether your kid is exploring their inner beast or conquering a jungle kingdom.
Author Maurice Sendak would be proud to see his story taking on new life in the form of street-ready kicks. You can join in the fun by grabbing these kicks for your grade school kid, preschooler or toddler. They’ll be available on November 5 online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
