Sneaker’s Release – Jordan 12 Retro “White/Gym Red/Dark Grey” Toddler, Preschool, Grade School & Men’s Shoe

Dec 2, 2019

June 11, 1997, marked Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Chicago Bulls were up against the Utah Jazz, and number 23 Michael Jordan was feeling the full gambet of flu symptoms. Despite his illness, His Airness laced up a pair of black and red Air Jordan 12s and took to the court. The Jazz took the lead through the first quarter, but as the game progressed, MJ rallied, ultimately scoring 38 game points and securing the “W” for the Bulls.

The game was appropriately dubbed “The Flu Game,” and this holiday season, you can snag a piece of MJ history when you buy yourself, and your little ones, a pair of’ “White/Gym Red/Dark Grey “Flu Game” Air Jordan 12 Retros.

Dropping December 2 online and in-stores with Hibbett | City Gear, these kicks will be available in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’, and toddler kids’ sizes.

Nike designer and innovator Tinker Hatfield drew inspiration for the Jordan XII’s design from the rising sun featured on the Japanese flag. He created an upper panel stretching from midfoot to toe with sun-ray-esque lines emanating outward. Another hallmark of the 12s: They were the first pair of Jordans sporting a full-length Nike Zoom Air unit.

This particular colorway is part of the Jordan brand’s 2019 holiday collection, and it features a classic white leather upper for a premium, OG vibe, grey suede mudguards, chrome accents, and red detailing.
