The Ultraboost shoe was first introduced in 2015 when adidas brought together three of its most groundbreaking features: original Boost technology, Primeknit upper material and the torsion bar. Boost gives wearers more energy return thanks to a ball of thousands of energy capsules that compress under pressure, while the torsion bar at the runner’s arch supports the motion of the entire foot. Ultraboost shoes get their locked-in fit thanks to an adidas Primeknit upper and Tailored Fibre Placement, or strategic stitching that lends superior stability.

adidas has continuously refined the sneaker, making tweaks to enhance the durability, feel, and the wearer’s overall running experience. A newly constructed frame now provides a snug, around-the-heel fit, perfect for runners of all levels.

A responsive Boost midsole in the Ultraboost 20 keeps runners comfortable mile after mile. The shoe’s Stretchweb outsole with Continental Rubber integrates lightweight, next-level durability that’s fit for any surface – from track to pavement to trail – and in any weather condition.

The shoe’s height is 0.9 inches at the heel, tapering to 0.5 inches in the forefoot to better support runners’ strides. The sneaker is also dripped in monochromatic black so you can cross the finish line in style.
