Sneakers Release – Jordan 13 Retro “Navy” Men’s & Kids’ Launching 4/29

The Jordan 13 Retro “Navy” shoe drops in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes April 29 at Hibbett | City Gear.

As usual, Jordan Brand is throwing in a mix of retro and new designs for the upcoming spring and summer season. One of the retro designs it’s resurrecting is the Jordan Retro 13 “Navy.” Originally, this shoe dropped in 1998 as a low, and then again in 2017.

Dimpled navy blue 3M mesh panels cover the majority of the tumbled black leather and nubuck upper, helping others to see you even in low light. A patch of black leather shines through at the toe, which has white Jordan branding at the bottom of the laces.

There is additional Jordan branding on the black tongue—a University Blue Jumpman soaring toward the basket. Black laces keep things monochromatic and fierce. The same Jumpman motif is repeated on the black insole—this time in white. Above that, navy blue ankle padding offers extra support as you strut down the street. On the heel, you’ll see the tell-tale circular green hologram displaying His Airness in front of number 23.

White pods stand out on the midsole, adding a nice circular vibe. Beneath that, a traditional black outsole has patches of white tread patterns—meant to represent the padding of a panther’s paw—as well as another circular blue Jumpman logo.

While MJ loved the original Tinker Hatfield design enough to wear during his sixth NBA championship, today, this shoe is best for casual wear. Throw it on with a pair of jeans and a black hoodie to look fierce as you stomp around town. Or, go totally retro with a vintage Bulls jersey—the 13s were the last shoes Jordan ever wore for Chicago, after all.
