Calling all artists! The latest shoe in the Jordan lineup lets you put your own spin on a familiar silhouette.
Toddler, preschool and grade school girls can customize their own Jordan 4 Retro SE kicks with the new “DIY” colorway starting Aug. 26. It was crafted specifically with personalization in mind, as the all-white upper features outlined shapes and designs that are just waiting to be colored in.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a DIY shoe like this. Nike also recently dropped a Jordan 1 Mid featuring a similar color-me-in print. But where those shoes encouraged kids to stay between the lines, the Jordan 4 Retro SE gives them more freedom. The small patch of outlined shapes and swirls to color is only in the midfoot, just under the black ankle strap where the mesh panel typically goes.
This makes the rest of the shoe a blank canvas. You’ll find long stretches of untouched white along the toe, middle, ankle and heel, meaning kids can add the flair of their choice. The only thing they’ll have to keep an eye out for is the black Jumpman logo on the heel, the white and black speckled midsole and the black mesh design under the laces. Otherwise, anything goes.
The only existing splash of color comes in lime green on the insole. Naturally, this is peppered with a black Jumpman logo. There’s one more Jumpman logo in black on the tongue, along with the word “Flight.” Because these shoes can be as unique as your kid wants them to be, their style options are limitless. They can throw these on with a hoodie and jeans for a day at school, or pair them with leggings and a cute shirt when chilling with friends. Either way, they’ll look and feel their best.
Let your kid’s creativity take control with the “DIY” Jordan 4 Retro SE. They’ll color their own destiny, whether that’s to shine as a trendsetter or basketball star. Snag them in toddler girls’, preschool girls’ and grade school girls’ sizes starting Aug. 26 online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
