The Jordan 4 Retro “White/Midnight Navy/Smoke Grey” shoe drops in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler kids’ sizes October 29 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Little kids may not have been around when the Air Jordan 4 originally rocketed to fame on the feet of Michael Jordan. But they can still certainly appreciate the casual coolness of these kicks — especially with a new colorway surfacing.

The Jordan 4 Retro “Midnight Navy” seems to take inspiration from the “White Cement” colorway, with a similar speckled gray print along the midsole.

A mostly white leather upper keeps things clean and fresh — so remind your little one not to go stomping through puddles in these! Waffle-printed eyelets at the midfoot and ankle keep the white laces taut against the top of the foot. Attached to the ankle eyelet is a speckled gray TPU support wing for superior lockdown.

White mesh panels across the middle and the top of the lace box keep things from looking too one-note — a thoughtful detail from designer Tinker Hatfield. On the tongue branding, you’ll see a white patch featuring a navy Jumpman. The backside of the tongue is also navy, as is the insole.

At the heel is another navy Jumpman, this time launching himself on a speckled gray background. The classic waffle heel support is also speckled gray. Beneath all of this is the speckled gray midsole, along with the navy and white outsole. Naturally, you’ll notice the peek-a-boo Air unit in the heel — a feature your kid will be dying to show off to their friends.

With a shoe this white heavy, it’s probably best to pair it with darker colors. Consider jeans or navy joggers, along with a cute His Airness tee to turn your little baby into a blooming baller.The Jordan 4 was originally released over All-Star Weekend in 1989, so perhaps getting your child a pair early in life will prepare them for great things. Even if it doesn’t, it’ll prime the path for them to become streetwear savvy.
