The Jordan Luka 1 “Racer Blue/Ghost Green/Racer Pink” basketball shoe drops in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes February 1 at Hibbett | City Gear.
So far, Luka Doncic’s first signature shoe with Jordan Brand has been a hit. It’s making the rounds in full family sizing, but it looks like Luka’s decided to drop a colorway just for the kiddos.
The Jordan Luka 1 in Racer Blue, Ghost Green and Racer Pink looks bold and fierce on the court. All of your little one’s opponents will cower in fear as they zip around the court just like the Slovenian point guard. You can grab these basketball kicks in grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizes starting February 1.
Brilliant royal blue covers most of the upper — a great touch if your kid’s basketball team has blue in its uniform colors. Across the front and lateral surface of the upper, you’ll notice breathable Flywire cables in squiggly patterns that add support and texture to the shoe.
While the eyestays and laces are also blue, there are several bright details around them. A small lime green Jumpman sits at the top of the lace box, while the lime green motto “Non Desistas, Non Exieris” — Latin for “never give up, never surrender” — paints the right shoe’s medial eyestay. On the left shoe, this spot reads “Jordan Brand Basketball.”
The upper part of the tongue transitions to purple. You’ll see Luka’s custom symbol — meant to represent the Mobius strip as well as “S” for his home country — embroidered in lime green. Purple ankle padding offers nice protection, while the neon green insole with blue branding is a delightful contrast.
Blue and neon pink TPU heel support offers stability during tight turns, while the neon green heel tab makes it easy to slide the shoe on and off. Beneath all of this is a royal blue midsole with plenty of accents. A clip on the lateral midsole is a pretty blue color with bright pink speckling throughout. Meanwhile, the medial midsole reads “Jordan Brand Basketball/Luka Doncic Signature 12022/Formula 23 * Flightwire * Magic.”
The full-length Formula 23 outsole is designated with a green notice at the heel. Under that is rubber traction filled with green, pink, light blue, and purple splotches that look like they came straight from a ’70s tie-dye experiment.
Kids can rock this groovy color scheme by wearing equally bold clothes. For example, we think it would look great with sky blue basketball shorts and a lime green shirt. When the game is over, they could throw on their casual sweats and look just as good.
