The Jordan Zion 2​ “Black/Siren Red/Smoke Grey” basketball shoe drops in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes October 20 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Since its drop back in June, the basketball world has been abuzz about the highly anticipated Jordan Zion 2. Now that Zion Williamson is also returning to the court after an injury that sidelined him for an entire year, the shoe is drawing even more attention — especially the latest colorway.

The Jordan Zion 2 “Black Cement” may look a bit familiar—that’s because it draws direct inspiration from the AJ 4 colorway of the same name. The black and gray construction looks sleek and fierce as you’re dunking on your opponents.

The nearly all-black upper is composed of mostly mesh with a series of suede overlays. Mesh offers premium ventilation at the toe, but a suede lockdown strap covers the forefoot for ultimate lockdown. This strap features Zoom Air branding in red over the velcro end and a small red Jumpman on the medial edge.

Black laces strap over a black tongue that features Zion’s logo in red embroidery. Suede overlays cover the eyestays and middle, wrapping around to the heel, which is covered with a speckled gray overlay. This ventilated unit features the classic red Jumpman in embroidery. Beneath it, the bone-colored outsole stretches up in a rounded shape. Red inserts announce the Air Strobel unit on the left shoe, as well as the phrase “Let’s Dance” on the right.

A black and speckled gray midsole features some branding at the toe. You’ll see a small “ZW” etched in black on the lateral edge, as well as the phrase “Shook the World” printed at the top of the toe — a nod to Zion’s infamous promise to shock the world. Underneath this, the speckled gray continues onto the front half of the outsole, which turns to bone and red at the heel.

Because this shoe is such a classic color combo, you can pair it with any game gear in your closet. Throw it together with some Jordan socks, gray basketball shorts and a red tee for a killer look that’ll have your opponents fleeing.
