Sneakers Release – New Balance Kawhi “New Money” Men’s Basketball Shoe

L.A. Clippers star Kawhi Leonard continues to be a dominant force in the NBA and his sneaker partnership with New Balance is no exception. The brand rolls out Kawhi’s latest signature sneaker, the New Balance Kawhi 1 “New Money” colorway July 1. This men’s shoe comes in muted shades of grey, green and orange.

The base of the upper is a dark grey mesh layer with well-spaced holes to offer ventilation even when the heat is on. Cutouts along the sides feature a circuit board-like pattern in orange, giving the shoe a high-tech aesthetic. Pale yellow and dusty green TPU shapes reinforce the sides of the forefoot to increase the durability factor of these sneaks, while a slim toe-cap overlay is stitched on the front of the shoe.

A thick TPU heel counter in a light green adds to the foot-stabilizing feel of these sneakers, with a dimensional New Balance logo in muted orange. The black sockliner provides thick padding around the ankle and on the underside of the tongue, while black laces criss-cross the lacing system.

This New Balance shoe is all about engineered precision — from the heel counter to the midsole and down to the traction pattern. The translucent outsole includes a data-generated traction pattern that provides unparalleled grip when milliseconds count. A full-length outsole shank boosts the sneaker’s stability. Aside from the TPU accents that mirror the upper’s geometric shapes, FuelCell foam comprises the grey-green midsole.
