Sneakers Release – Nike Air Max 2090 Men’s, Women’s and Kids’ Shoe

Clean, comfortable and modern are just a few of the adjectives used to describe the Nike Air Max 2090. And while the world is flipped upside down with uncertainty, Nike continues to look toward a colorfully modern tomorrow by rolling out its latest Air Max model in a variety of colorways.

Beginning May 7, casual wearers, sneakerheads and Air Max fans alike can get their hands on (and feet into) a pair of Nike Air Max 2090 sneakers. The shoes drop in a variety of colorways in men’s, women’s and grade school kids’ sizes. The men’s and grade school kids’ sneakers come in a Magma Orange, black, Eggplant and Habanero Red colorway, while another kids’ sneaker drops in a White, Wolf Grey and Platinum palette. The women’s shoe comes dressed in an “Iced Lilac” with black and pink embellishments.

The Air Max 2090 looks to both its predecessor (the Air Max 90) and the next generation for its inspiration. The Air Max 90’s old-school Air unit design remains, but the Air Max 2090 gets 200% more Air than the original for an audacious design and amped-up responsiveness. The ribbed cassette that frames out the Air unit contributes to the shoe’s retro vibes. The shoe’s upper gets a modern spin by piecing together layers of transparent mesh with strategically placed overlays. This multilayered approach lends structure to the entire Air Max 2090 package.

A snug bootie keeps the foot supported, while a Cushlon midsole contributes to the shoe’s all-day comfort. The Air Max 2090 also takes Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman’s original waffle outsole design and modernizes it with large flex grooves that add to the shoe’s flexibility, durability and traction. Like its aerodynamic design, the speed lacing system allows for quick get-up-and-go, while pull tabs at the heel and tongue allow for easy slip on, easy slip off.
