The Nike Dunk High Retro EMB in Summit White, Phantom and Pink Oxford drops in men’s sizes on February 18. Also launching on this day are two additional EMB sneakers – the Air Force 1 Low EMB and the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 EMB. All three special releases are part of Nike’s 2023 NBA All Star Weekend collection.
The men’s Nike Dunk High Retro EMB might be less flashy, but it still packs quite the punch with its mix of neutral tones. The white canvas base is covered with cream suede overlays around the toe box, eyestays, ankle and heel. Another cracked leather white Swoosh overlay covers the middle and wraps around the heel.
You’ll see the word “Embedded” on the shoe’s gray insole — a nod to the collection this shoe is part of. The shoe sits atop a pale pink midsole mated to a rubber outsole of the same color.
Similar motifs and characteristics are carried throughout the Air Force One and Blazer Mid ’77 EMB styles.
You have a lot of freedom when styling these EMB releases, as they’re a neutral palette. Try white crew socks and a color hoodie and shorts. Or, if you’re channeling the pastel vibe, they’d look great with khakis and a matching cream T-shirt.
You can never go wrong with Nike Dunks, AF1s or Blazers — after all, they’ve been highlights of the brand for decades, each one playing a part in Nike’s influence in basketball culture.
