The Nike Dunk Low Retro “Midas Gold/Tough Red/White” drops February 18 in men’s sizes.
The Midas Gold, Tough Red and white colorway of the latest Nike Dunk Low will remind you of bright starts and new beginnings. Pair these lifestyle kicks with joggers and a hoodie or denim pants and a jacket for a seriously fire fit.
The leather sneakers get the titular treatment, with Midas Gold dressing the side panels, toebox and throat. The balance of the shoe gets heavy-handed Tough Red embellishments. This maroon color outlines the toe and the lacing system, and covers the branding and outsole.
With its ray-like pattern, breathable perforations along the toebox create a cheerful “sun also rises” tone. Careful stitching and neat seams incorporated throughout make this shoe a worthy contender in the sneaker world, even though it often gets eclipsed by its similar-looking counterpart, the Air Jordan 1. The shoe’s throat gets a nylon Midas Gold touch, overlaid with Tough Red laces.
While not calling out a specific NCAA team, this vintage-style shoe employs the same colorblocking as some of the iconic collegiate styles. A white foam midsole will keep feet comfy even throughout winter wanderings, while the classic Dunk outsole includes the concentric circle pattern at the forefoot, complete with pivot point, and grooves at the heel.
