The Nike KD15 Community “Multicolor” men’s basketball shoe launches July 27 at Hibbett | City Gear.

The Nike KD 15, the latest in his signature portfolio, strips down to just the essentials so Durant — or anyone looking for a new sneaker — can focus on their game.

A coral or salmon-pink mesh material composes much of the shoe’s straightforward upper, offering breathability and a more pared-down approach than other basketball shoes with plenty of layers. Thin, red-coated overlays along the forefoot offer abrasion resistance, while translucent black, textural overlays adorn the quarter panels.

The shoe’s lateral side shows off a light-pink Swoosh, with a reverse Swoosh in the same color appearing on the medial. Soft red waves undulate along the heel, offering a foot-stabilizing counter that helps give the shoe structure, with a triangular emblem and heel tab finishing the look.

Salmon-colored laces feed through the black TPU wings to help provide total lockdown, and generously sized perforations play atop the foot for enhanced breathability during the heat of play. The insoles of this shoe are a bright aqua with KD branding that matches other branding incorporated into the sneaker.

A topographic-map-like outsole offers contoured ridges in shades of red and pink for game-changing traction. The shoe’s cushioning includes full-length Cushlon foam along with a visible Air Zoom Strobel unit. This dual feature gives soft, responsive energy return without the weight.
