While hoops fans eagerly await LeBron James’ return to the court, sneakerheads anticipate the arrival of the Nike LeBron 17 Low men’s basketball shoe set to roll out in a sleek black, white and multicolor colorway. The classy, low-cut minimalist kicks will be available in men’s sizes at Hibbett | City Gear on June 15. 

The Jason Petrie and LeBron collaboration celebrates the latest design rendition of the superstar’s signature shoes in a profusion of colorways. This new model’s look is low-key but aspirational.  

Black dominates and unifies the uppers, laces and mudguard as primary-color hits punch up the sneakers’ sporty visage. White highlights the tongue branding, midsole and Swoosh logos. Red and black trim the NikeReact logo, while the tiny swooshes on the lateral side of the shoes’ mudguards are bathed in blue. Combos of white, red and yellow, and white, blue and green outline the LeBron crown motif on the left and right heels, respectively. The same colors also feature on the sockliner’s dunking graphic. 

Built with Nike’s newest textile — Knitposte — the result is a seamless four-dimensional silhouette made with pliable, melded yarns reinforced with Flyknit construction. The sneakers deliver a subtly textured look with a form-fitting, stretch-resistant sock-like feel. Enhanced fit and structural support are further dialed up with a system of laces anchored with Flywire cables.

An overlay of texturized faux Stingray leather reinforces the shoe from toe to heel. The resilient foam midsole is wrapped with a crown-mimicking, translucent protector that adds style and longevity to the classic basketball sneakers. 

The King’s low-tops get a big boost of impact-ready responsiveness from Max Air in the heel and lightweight and resilient NikeReact in the forefoot. The performance-enhancing mix softens landings and boosts responsiveness without sacrificing durability or stability. The combination offers unparalleled shock absorption, directional shift, speed and lift-off.  

On the articulated outsole, varying depths of detail are etched across its length, distributing cushion and firmness in a highly contoured pattern, intriguingly matching the explosive style of the shoe’s inspiration. LeBron’s signature is imprinted on the heel for prosperity.
