“What’s up, Doc?” Everyone from young kids to older adults knows the catchphrase of that “pesky wabbit,” Bugs Bunny. This June, the Jordan brand gets a Looney Tunes makeover with the introduction of the “Hare” release.

While this sneaker release has been delayed for months, beginning June 17, sneakers fans of all ages can finally snag a pair of the instantly collectible Air Jordan 6 Retro “Hare” sneakers. The carrot-gnawing-bunny-inspired shoes roll out in men’s, grade school kids’, toddler and preschool versions.

Big and imposing — a juxtaposition from the slender silhouette of Bugs Bunny himself — the Tinker Hatfield-designed AJ 6 Retros integrate all those vintage cartoon vibes. White leather overlays and a white toe cap take center stage on the upper, while Neutral Grey underlays get dotted with perforations. The holes may not be big enough to conceal Bugs Bunny from the always-meddling Elmer Fudd, but they do serve to enhance breathability for the wearer.

The breathable design continues up the shoe’s throat, leading up a True Red satiny overlay with the black Jumpman insignia. Carrot-colored lace locks will tempt even the most quick-witted bunny while keeping the laces in place during chases down the court.

The oversized tongue blends all the sneaker’s colors beneath a clear, ankle-protecting overlay, while plush padding lines the shoe’s high cut collar. A foam midsole gives the shoe energy-returning comfort for all-day play. Whites, reds and greens converge along the outsole, and the True Red frames out the heel’s visible Air-Sole unit.

Sizes for younger kids ditch some of the above features to provide a snug, stable fit for even the smallest sneakerheads.
