Back in December 2020, Nike rolled out the Nike LeBron 18 in a “Bred” colorway. A timeless colorway met with much hype, the black and red LeBron 18 is back by popular demand, this time in a slightly different configuration. On March 11, the Nike LeBron 18 Low launches in a black, white and University Red colorway that promises legendary performance.
Unlike the LeBron 18 mid, the LeBron 18 Low swaps out its black Knitposite 2.0 upper in favor of lightweight grid-like woven material. Synthetic, no-sew taped overlays contribute to this sneaker’s structure and support while also adding style and texture to the package. The foot stays firmly in place during power plays thanks to an external molded heel clip, while a reinforced lacing system effectively locks down the midfoot.
Another departure from previous LeBron 18s? The “White/Black/University Red” 18 Low is missing an Air-padded tongue. Instead, the low-cut basketball sneaker has a lightly padded tongue made of the same material as the upper that rises to meet the ankle collar’s plush padding.
Nike React technology runs the length of the foot to power dynamic play, while a stacked Max Air unit visible features at the heel. This combination offers smooth, energy-returning quickness on the court. Red embellishes the black-and-white color scheme along the shoe’s throat, in LeBron’s scrawled signature on the tongue, in the visible Air-Sole and on the outsole.
The shoe’s outsole is made of black rubber at the front half, which fades into a transparent overlay along the heel. King James’ logo bisects both pieces. The shoe’s underside is also swathed in a diamond generative traction pattern that offers great grip throughout warmups, cooldowns and during the heat of the game.
The Nike N7 Summer 2025 collection is set to arrive at Hibbett, continuing its impactful mission of celebrating Indigenous communities across North America. This year's release integrates Native culture into essential sportswear, offering a powerful blend of heritage and contemporary design.
