The Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen “1984” colorway certainly looks to be inspired by the year 1984—LeBron’s birth year. It features a Wolf Grey, Pink Spell and Hyper Royal color scheme and will hit stores in men’s sizes on March 16.

The Wolf Grey mesh upper looks unassuming and neutral at first—until you instantly notice all the shoe’s details. The true eyecatcher is the iridescent pink/purple Swoosh across the lateral and medial middle.

It’s trimmed in blue threading on the lateral, which helps the reflective surface stay on the cooler-toned side of things. Beside this, on the lateral side, is a smaller black embroidered Swoosh. On the medial side, it’s trimmed in light pink threading and sits on top of a blue suede overlay for even more contrast.

The tongue and laces keep the monotone grey look, with black Nike LBJ branding on the lace lockdown tab. You’ll also see LeBron’s signature embedded on the top of the tongue, which is trimmed in royal blue. The insole is also royal blue with lighter blue branding.

The white midsole wraps around the back half and middle of the shoe, with a small royal blue heel clip at the back. You’ll also see the words “Air Zoom” in light blue on the medial heel. Toward the front of the shoe, the gummy pink outsole covers up the midsole. In the middle of the scattered tread is a single “X.”
