Kids of all ages know that when it’s game time, it’s time to power up, focus and do their best. Whether they’re battling it out over video games, trying out their first offensive plays on the paint or playing make-believe at recess, kids of all sizes need Nike shoes that will keep them cool and comfy under pressure.

Enter the gaming-inspired Nike Little Posite One “Warped Grid” colorway, draped in cool black, Platinum Tint and Glacier Ice tones with a trippy grid along the upper. On March 6, these pint-sized Foams will launch in infant, preschool and grade school sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.

Nike designer Eric Avar found inspiration for the Foamoposite One — initially released in 1997 — in the sculpted shell of a beetle. Now, more than two decades later, the still-nuanced Foamposite One and its budding-baller rendition, the Little Posite One, continues to appeal to generations of sneaker enthusiasts.

Liquid foam makes up the form-fitting upper and it’s characteristic wavy vertical lines. The shoe’s shell and foam-injected midsole soften and contours to the foot over time for a custom yet lightweight fit. A carbon fiber midfoot plate gives stability to busy preschoolers and more quick-footed grade-schoolers, and kids of all ages (even immobile infants) benefit from the modern comfort provided by the shoe’s full-length Zoom Air unit.

This month’s “Warped Grid” release features black, distorted grid lines that wrap along the sneaker’s upper. Black also dresses the lacing system, midfoot plate, synthetic leather shoe vamp and collar, while a Glacier Ice-colored outsole and heel tabs contribute to this shoe’s “trapped in an alternate reality” vibe. The cool blue tone also appears on the heel badge logo, the small Swoosh, Penny Hardaway’s one-cent logo tucked beneath the laces and the embroidery that crawls up the throat.
