Maybe it’s the 10 minutes of quiet before your day starts, those few moments of respite around lunchtime or perhaps it’s the seconds in the darkened arena right before you step out onto a gleaming court that you feel most at peace.

To help you hang on to those fleeting moments, Under Armour and Curry Brand are bringing you the Curry 8 “Zen Flow” colorway, featuring a feng shui-inspired black-and-white palette. The basketball sneakers launch March 5 in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes.

Golden State Warriors’ player Steph Curry relies on his faith to help keep his cool both on and off the court. But some seriously lightweight sneakers that enhance his gameplay don’t hurt his ability to remain calm under pressure, either.

The “Zen Flow” Curry 8 employs a white, flat-knit mesh upper, while black overlays at the ankle flow along the shoe’s sides and lend support for precise side-to-side movements. And getting in and out of these sneaks is a breeze, thanks to a stretchable, sock-like fit with heel and tongue tabs.

The performance sneakers’ black overlays along the upper showcase Curry’s refreshed branding, which resembles the motion of a player shooting, in white. The Curry 8 is the first shoe to officially launch under a standalone Curry Brand. Previous models got the Under Armour Curry label, but only very subtle Under Armour branding appears on this sneaker.

The most defining feature of the Curry 8 is that it’s completely rubberless. Going where no basketball shoe has dared to go before now, the Curry 8 employs the ridiculously lightweight and ultra-grippy UA Flow technology. An undulating pattern characterizes the carved block of foam’s midsole area, which extends beneath the foot in a warped, grid-like pattern. This foam radiates into a dizzying white traction pattern for razor-sharp on-court movement. A black Pebax plate cuts into the outsole, adding stability and support to each quick cut.
