Want to help save the world without sacrificing your collection of kicks? Well, Nike’s making that a little bit easier thanks to the newest release from the brand’s Move to Zero sustainable sneaker collection. The Nike Crater Impact rides on the heels of the sustainability campaign’s Nike Space Hippie, incorporating a similar slew of recycled materials in its construction.
The result? Nike running shoes that drastically reduce your carbon footprint while cradling your actual foot with the latest in Nike performance technologies.
The Nike Crater Impact lands in two debut colorways exclusively for men on April 15. Shop the Light Bone, Orange, Volt and Black model and the Sail, Orange and Volt model online and in stores at Hibbett.com.
The former option comes with a chill Light Bone mesh upper with an iconic Black Swoosh stitched into the side. You’ll notice bright Orange accents at the top and bottom of the lace guard, as well as brilliant Volt touches along the heel and insole. The latter includes a Sail mesh upper with a gray-stitched Swoosh, Orange heel tab and Volt insole.
Both colorways feature a recycled Crater Foam midsole as a part of Nike’s Move to Zero campaign. The project’s goal is to bring Nike’s carbon foot as low as possible by reusing old materials to create new shoes. In fact, Nike touts that these shoes are made of at least 20% recycled materials by weight.
Addition repurposed materials can be found in the 15% Nike Grind outsole. If you’re not familiar with the speckled rubber outsole material, Nike Grind is a material made by taking old, unsellable shoes and turning them into a material that’s both grippy and durable.
Even the design of the shoe is sustainable. The track shoe-inspired silhouette is crafted with straight-edged overlays to reduce scraps and waste.
There’s no reason to sacrifice style and performance for eco-friendliness when there are kicks like the Nike Crater Impact out there. You’ll get that urban, athletic vibe you crave while still doing your part to save the world.
Make an impact on the environment when you shop the new men’s Nike Crater Impact in Light Bone/Orange/Volt/Black and Sail/Orange/Volt starting April 15 online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
