A dynamic package of rubberless comfort and sleek stylings, Under Armour Curry Flow 8 “Chinese New Year” is the sneaker of the year with its vibrant red upper, crisp white midsole and elegant gold accents. The Curry Flow 8 “CNY” basketball shoe drops January 8 in men’s, grade school kids’ and preschool kids’ sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.
The Curry 8 first launched during the 2020 holiday season as the inaugural signature shoe from the newly established UA Curry Brand. The sneaker incorporates some revolutionary new design features including its aforementioned lack of rubber. That’s right — no rubber outsole and no rubber on the midsole. Instead, you get a shoe with an exceptional grip that allows you to make razor-sharp movements without the rubber marks on the court.
A flat-knit mesh upper gives feet the perfect balance of ventilation and sock-like comfort. Entry into the performance sneaker is seamless, thanks to the bootie construction that conforms to the ankle and gives flexibility for abrupt changes in direction. Synthetic overlays outline the midfoot and run along the heel for enhanced structural support.
The upper rides atop a thick UA Flow midsole and outsole. This technology is lightweight, bouncy and features intuitive grooves that offer unparalleled grip. Stop on a dime, cut in and out of traffic, and lift off with the ease of the rubberless UA Flow technology.
