It’s Pharrell Williams’ world and we’re all just living in it. While a pastel pink colorway has been teased since late fall, it’s finally launching, and we couldn’t be any happier about it!
On March 27, join the “Happy” singer as he celebrates all the hues of humanity with the release of his “True Pink” adidas x Pharrell HU NMD, launching in unisex sizing at Hibbett | City Gear.
adidas x Pharrell collab collectors will notice this pale bubblegum-colored running shoe bears a slight resemblance to the adidas x Pharrell NMD “Sun Calm” trail shoe that released in September 2019.
The latest pink releases from the adidas x Pharrell NMD line is without a conventional lacing system, featuring light pink Japanese characters embroidered in its place. The Kanji lettering translates to “human race,” a call to unity among all people worldwide.
This minimalist lifestyle sneaker employs a breathable mesh Primeknit upper situated atop a soft foam midsole of the same color. Lighter pink gridded cages anchor at the midsole on either side of the foot providing a way to tighten the laces that run back and forth across the midfoot for a unique style of lockdown.
adidas Boost technology comprises the midsole. It gets a pebbled appearance due to the compressed Boost energy pellets that offer a soft landing and exceptional energy-returning capabilities. Pink rubber dresses the outsole with both inset and 3D hexagons comprise the outsole’s traction pattern.
The only other hue that appears on this shoe is a black that edges the tongue and dresses the sockliner and black flecks woven into the cable laces.
