Sneakers Release – Nike “Move to Zero” Recycled Men’s, Women’s and Kids’ Shoes

Dec 30, 2020

When the world shut down in late March, it had an unintended side effect on the environment. Air quality in big cities improved. Water pollution was reduced. Emissions decreased. While some of these effects were short-lived, they shined a light on the fact that small shifts can make big impacts.

Sustainability is nothing new for the Nike brand. But, most recently, the company has been making big moves in how they approach manufacturing. They’re committed toward a “Move to Zero,” a zero-carbon, zero-waste future to help protect humanity and the future of sports.

Nike works toward enhanced sustainability by rethinking its processes and reusing every item. By 2025, Nike expects to switch to 100% renewable energy in all of its factories. And by the end of this year, Nike says it will eliminate single-use plastic bags in its stores.

On January 7, Nike is launching a new collection of sustainable sneakers that demonstrate its commitment to that Move to Zero future, including drops from the Air Force 1 and Blazers collections. Find these shoes in an assortment of men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes both online and in-stores at the start of the new year.

What’s Dropping:

Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Recycled Men’s Shoe: Recycled materials come in an Electric Green and black palette, offering the same AF1 style you know and love.

Nike Air Force 1 Recycled Kids’ Shoe: A speckled sole with black and silver details gives kids classic, cushioned comfort. A white and silver rendition mimics the black shoe’s details.

Nike Blazer Low Recycled Women’s Shoe: The white, black and Light Bone version includes a recycled tongue, Swoosh and sole.

Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Recycled Men’s Shoe: Enjoy 20% recycled content by weight, including some Nike Grind rubber in the outsole and a 100% recycled felt Swoosh logo. There’s even recycled synthetic leather on the upper of the Crimson Red, Smoke Grey and white sneaker.

Nike Air Max 95 “Black/Electric Green” Men’s Shoe: Crafted with 20% recycled content by weight, including Nike Grind in the outsole and some recycled felt in the upper, this retro-inspired running shoe merges unbelievable comfort, head-turning style and recycled materials.

Nike Air Zoom-Type “White/Light Bone/Black” Women’s Shoe: This shoe combines a deconstructed, DIY aesthetic with unbelievable comfort and recycled materials. The volt colored, recycled insole feels extra-cushy and signifies that the shoe contains at least 20% recycled materials by weight, and the shoe’s packaging is made from recycled cardboard and doubles as a shipping box.
