Even though Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks aren’t likely to make the playoffs this year, the Slovenian superstar is still a winner in the sneaker game. The release of the Luka 1 last year was a big hit — and it doesn’t look like El Matador is slowing down any time soon.
The new Jordan Luka 1 “Easter” colorway comes in a perfect mix of Mint Foam, Racer Pink and Court Purple that feels like spring in a nutshell. While it’s dropping after its eponymous holiday, it’ll still be a nice addition to your and your kids’ closets. Grab it in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizes on April 13.
Purple mesh and Flight Wire cables cover the middle and toe of the shoe. These are edged with pink threading. At the heel and above the midsole, these cables are covered with a mint green overlay.
The eyestays, laces, collar and midsole are also mint green, making this shoe feel like a blossoming flower. The tongue, however, features a hearty dose of purple toward the top, as well as Luka’s logo embroidered in pink. This motif repeats itself on the insole on a light green background.
A multicolor heel tab combines all of the shoe’s colors into one. Beneath this is a supportive mint green and purple heel insert. The blends right into the mint midsole, which is very chunky. On the lateral midsole at the heel, you’ll see a small purple Jumpman. At the toe and midfoot are bright pink inserts that pop like Easter eggs on a spring lawn.
On the rubber outsole, you’ll see a mix of mint and light green in a map-like tread pattern. At the forefoot is a final pink Jumpman insert. This basketball shoe is far from boring — just like your outfit should be when wearing them. We’re thinking they’d look sick with some lime green basketball shorts and a pale pink T-shirt. Go with light purple crew socks to really embrace the spring vibes.
