Even though LeBron James has faced some injuries this NBA season, he’s still been a beast when he’s been on the court. As to be expected, he’s also slayed with the drop of his new Nike LeBron 20. We’ve seen tons of colorways hit the shelves already, and now it’s time for one fit for a king.

The Nike LeBron 20 in black and metallic gold shines like the metaphorical crown on King James’ head. This lux basketball shoe will be available in men’s sizes starting April 6.

The black upper is made entirely of dimensional knit mesh to keep things lightweight and breathable. What breaks up this sea of darkness is the two Swooshes across the middle of each side.

On the medial side, it’s a simple golden Swoosh embroidered in black outline. The lateral side is showier, with a golden Swoosh outlined in black sitting on top of a silvery Swoosh underneath. The point of the golden Swoosh also extends off of the shoe like a mini spur at the heel.

Additional golden details, like the “XX” lace dubrae, golden ankle grommet and the “XX” embroidered on the tongue, add more bling to the kick. Underneath the “XX” on the tongue is the GOAT’s signature embedded into the fabric.

The midsole is white with black speckling, helping to ease the transition from black to white. Under this is an icy translucent outsole with a highly patterned tread. A green LeBron going for the dunk can be seen on the heel.

As far as LeBron releases go, this one is relatively tame. This gives you two choices: keep your outfit equally tame in blacks and whites, or go bold with bright colors. Either way, crew socks, your team’s jersey and basketball shorts — or joggers if the spring chill is in the air — are a must.
