If you’re in need of an update to your daily trainers, you’re in luck. Reebok is about to drop the latest iteration in its Floatride Energy line of running shoes.

The new Reebok Floatride Energy 5 will be available in two distinct colorways: Steely Blue, Cloud White and Smash Orange and a Pure Grey 4, Vector Blue and Vector Red. What’s unique about these shoes is that they’re made of at least 30% recycled materials — so you don’t have to feel too bad about upgrading. These both drop in men’s sizes on April 1, though we’re hoping to see some women’s colorways soon!

The blue Floatride Energy 5 kicks are on the muted side, so you won’t look like you’re wearing blueberries on your feet as you crush your PR. The Steely Blue Speed Shift upper includes several white accent lines across the middle on the lateral both sides — kind of a twist on the traditional Reebok logo. These lines are Smash Orange on the medial side.

Steely Blue laces lock into orange and pale green alternating eyelets. The tongue is also blue except for a black patch at the top. The ankle padding is also black, contrasting nicely with the pale green insoles.

A pale green tab at the heel has bold black Reebok branding. Under this is a white midsole, and under that, an orange and green outsole pops.

The gray Floatride Energy 5 kicks have the same design, just in different colors. The Pure Grey 4 upper has black Reebok lines on the lateral middle and Vector Red ones on the medial middle. This time, it’s red and Vector Blue eyelets holding the gray laces in place over the gray tongue.

The blue insole matches the blue heel tab, which features Reebok branding in gray. Finally, the white midsole gives way to the red and blue outsole.

As a runner, comfort comes first, but style is close behind. We recommend pairing both of these kicks with no-show ankle socks and running shorts that match the accent colors of each shoe — so either orange, light green, red or blue. Finish the look with a gray running tank.
