With the popularity of 3D printing on the rise in recent years, it’s a little bit surprising that more brands haven’t leaned into the 3D printed shoe trend, but adidas certainly has. Joining the Three Stripes brand’s assortment of 3D printed footwear, which already includes the Futurecraft 4D, AlphaEdge 4D and 4D Run 1.0, is the relatively new 4DFWD.
The high-tech 4DFWD was originally available in men’s and women’s sizes only, but that’s about to change thanks to the release of the line’s first kids’ that changes with the first colorway for grade school kids. The Black, Signal Green & Carbon adidas 4DFWD Pulse launches at Hibbett | City Gear on August 5.
The kids’ Pulse 4DFWD features a Primegreen upper for breathability and flex decorated with classic Three Stripes branding across the middle. 50% of the upper is made of recycled content to help reduce your impact on the environment, while the lattice constructed midsole helps you reduce running’s impact on your body. The 4DFWD’s midsole, a 3D printed component, is the brainchild born from adidas‘ 17-year study on the gait of thousands of runners.
Many athletes are using the 4DFWD as their go-to shoe, meaning it’s got more than enough backing to be named a top-choice sneaker for developing runners looking to test out the track. Inside the shoe, there’s a heel cradle that keeps the foot forward in the shoe with every stride, giving your kid an easy ride no matter their experience level.
We envision your little one wearing the adidas 4DFWD Pulse with their favorite running setup, whether that’s shorts, joggers or leggings. Throw on a matching T-shirt or tank, and they’ll be ready to sprint around the track, sidewalk or playground with ease.
Step into the future with the adidas 4DFWD Pulse Black, Signal Green & Carbon colorway, launching online and in-stores in grade school kids’ sizes starting August 5.
