The adidas NMD_V3 “White/Red/Blue” grade school kids’ shoe drops April 15 at HIbbett | City Gear
It’s a little early to think about the Fourth of July, but adidas is planning ahead for the summer. The brand is set to drop an all-new red, white and blue colorway that pays tribute to the stars and stripes.
The adidas NMD_V3 features a white base with touches of red and blue. You may notice this bears a bit of a similarity to the NMD_R1 OG white colorway, so that may have been the inspiration behind it all.
A white textile upper—made of at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester—covers the shoe, along with additional white accents outlining the toe box and laces. You’ll see the tell-tale Three Stripes in white overlays across the middle. This all blends with a white tongue and white laces as well. Tongue and heel tabs also provide some messaging, but it’s nearly impossible to read since the font is white on white.
Even the insole appears to be white, with more white-on-white branding. The word “adidas” is easy to read, but there’s also additional messaging about the shoe’s recycled components.
Color finally comes into play in small touches at the toe and heel, which feature blue and red lines, respectively. There are additional red and blue lines framing the transparent Boost midsole, which offers all-day support for little ones whether they’re at school or an amusement park.
It’s this iconic midsole that lets everyone know you’re sporting NMDs, so we recommend playing it up a bit. Get some matching red or blue joggers to highlight the color of the midsole plugs and help your kicks shine. We could also see them looking fresh on a hot summer day—maybe even the Fourth—with red basketball shorts and a blue T-shirt.
Everything about the new NMD_V3 in white, blue and red just screams fresh. It’s the perfect shoe for your little one to slip on, kick back, and impress their friends with. Grab it in grade school kids’ sizes starting April 15, online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
