Looking for a cheerful girls’ sneaker as fresh as a newly sharpened bouquet of No. 2 pencils? This August, the Air Jordan 4 Retro gets a juicy infusion of “Lemon Venom” color mixed with white and Pink Blast. Available in toddler, preschool and grade school girls’ sizes on August 14, this girls’ basketball sneaker drops just in time for the new school year.
The original Air Jordan 4 dropped in 1989 with a performance-driven design created by Tinker Hatfield. The shoe achieved its legendary status when its eponymous superstar — Michael Jordan — made “The Shot” in a pair of AJ 4s during the final minutes of a playoff game.
The “Lemon Venom” take on the Air Jordan 4 continues the brilliance of MJ’s signature sneaker line. A crisp, white leather upper outlined in premium double-stitched rows adds retro flavor unmatched by any other brand. A bright splash of shiny Lemon Venom vinyl edges the toe. Hot pink mesh netting gives the shoe a feminine flair, with hot pink accentuating the throat, eye stays, heel and Jumpman logo on the tongue. Kids of all ages can prepare for lift-off (or P.E.) with the neon-yellow “wings” along the shoe’s sides and a yellow tongue tag.
A white midsole and outsole provide a solid base for this sneaker, bolstered by a visible Air-Sole unit in the heel. These features make all the difference when it comes to all-day school wear, providing both comfort and traction on any surface. Generous padding inside the sneaker, along with a foot-stabilizing fit, contributes to the easy wearability of this shoe, while the vinyl, TPU and leather materials offer plenty of durability — all in one easy-to-wipe-down sneaker.
