A high cut black shoe with a flash of green and a colorful outsole is sure to be all the rage when the Jumpman brand unleashes its latest “Rage Green” colorway. Dressed in black, Tomatillo and Rage Green, the men’s Jordan 1 Hi Zoom Air basketball sneaker drops in stores and online on August 14.
These Jordan retro-inspired sneakers are sleek and streamlined, highlighting the best of the Jordan Brand. High cut black leather outlines the shoe, paired with a higher-nap green suede and 3M reflective Swooshes that embellish the Jordan 1 Hi Zoom Air’s sides.
Black laces climb along the padded throat, up toward the generously padded tongue and bright green sockliner. Don’t let the traditional white midsole fool you. Turn the shoe over and you’ll get the element of surprise. An icy semi-translucent outsole sits atop a color-changing ombre that morphs from green at the toe to pink at the heel. Small graphic Zoom “Z’s” dot the design, overlaid by the AJ 1’s signature concentric-circle forefoot pattern.
And while the palette alone makes a major impact, the reliable, court-tested materials contained within the basketball sneaker do as well. The Jordan brand debuted the new Jordan 1 Hi Zoom Air this past fall. This fresh remix mostly keeps Peter Moore’s iconic AJ 1 silhouette (because why mess with perfection?) and adds full-length Zoom Air cushioning underfoot. The sneaker also maintains traditional features like the old-school Jordan Wings logo embroidered near the collar, while adding a small Zoom tag tucked along the shoe’s sides and the Zoom Air logo on both the tongue and insole.
