It’s no secret that the Air Jordan 1 has some serious staying power. When Peter Moore designed these sneakers in the mid-1980s, he likely had no idea these shoes would be cemented in history alongside the G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan himself. The model’s play-it-straight design, enduring technology and classic colorways have proved timeless as newer generations discover these spectacular sneakers.

The line’s most recent iteration of the AJ 1’s “Hyper Royal” color pallette takes the OG shoe — including the white leather upper — and adds a Hyper Royal suede treatment along the toe, the lacing system and the heel. The watery-like blue adds a cool tone to the sneaker with its slight fading.

Perforations sprinkle the white toe box while pristine white laces cross the white padded throat of the sneaker. The nylon tongue tag retains the flavor of the original deep Hyper Royal hue with white Nike Air branding.

Light Smoke Grey curls around the ankle collar and dresses the Swoosh, the Wings logo and the shoe’s outsole. The white midsole contains the encapsulated cushioning that puts the “Air” in Air Jordan.
