While we now take for granted the materials used on the Air Jordan 11, this sneaker was the first basketball shoe with patent leather — a sophisticated choice that also served to reduce wear and tear. Sleek, sporty and stylish, the AJ 11 also gets a boost from what’s contained within. The lightweight Phylon midsole, full-length carbon fiber plate and full-length Air-Sole unit lend unparalleled structure and support to the foot.

This women’s and young kids’ “Concord Sketch” release pulls out all the bells and whistles in terms of aesthetic. The shoe swaps out the mesh upper for premium leather, giving these kicks a luxurious spin while making them easy to clean. This rendition does, however, retain signature AJ 11 details like the icy-cold translucent outsole with black zonal traction patterns and Jumpman insignia incorporated throughout the sneaker. The speed lacing system’s white nylon webbing and the midsole’s textural pattern both add dimension and depth to the sneaker. The black sockliner pairs well with the shoe’s branding, subtly matching with the glossy Concord mudguard.
