The Jordan 12 Retro “Stealth/White/Cool Grey” sneaker launches August 27 in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.

The year: 1996. The shoe: the Jordan 12. What makes this particular shoe so special, especially when Jordan Brand has had such a stellar lineup through the years? Well, the Tinker Hatfield design was the first ever to utilize Zoom Air cushioning. Not to mention, it was also the shoe MJ brought home his fourth championship in—kicking off the second of his historic three-peats.

Now, you’ll have the chance to go back to where it all started. The AJ Retro 12 “Stealth” breathes some new life into these popular kicks. The gray and white color scheme stays true to the original materials while offering a fresh take. And good news—the whole family can get in on the fun with sizing for toddlers, preschoolers, grade school kids and men, starting on August 27.

The Rising Sun upper is what helped put the AJ 12 on the map, and the “Stealth” colorway doesn’t disappoint in that regard. You’ll see this iconic stitching pattern in dappled gray leather along the heel, ankle and top of the foot.

Wrapping around the toe is a white mudguard in lizard-texture leather. A bit of small white Jumpman branding sits in the middle on the lateral side. The gray tongue features white embroidery, with the text “Two3” running vertically. At the top of the tongue is a typical white Jumpman soaring through the air. White laces are held in place by silver ankle grommets.

Inside the shoe, gray ankle padding keeps you comfy, while a gray insole features a white Jumpman at the heel. The back of the shoe features additional branding, including a Jordan-themed gray heel tab with the motto “Quality Inspired By The Greatest Player Ever” as well as another Jumpman. A gray “23” stands out at the back of the white midsole. Naturally, that midsole wraps around the rest of the shoe as well and sits above a white and gray outsole.
