The Jordan 13 Retro “Black/University Blue/White” shoe drops in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizes December 23 at Hibbett | City Gear.
If you’ve been dreaming of a new pair of Jordans for Christmas, look no further. Jordan Brand is about to drop its Holiday 2022 lineup, and one basketball shoe in particular is looking mighty fly.
The Air Jordan 13 in University Blue, black and white is a must-have for any true sneakerhead. It’s a classic color combo, but not one we’ve seen exactly this way before. Look for it to drop on December 23 in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizing.
A matte tumbled black leather upper has plenty of overlays throughout for visual interest. Across much of the middle on both sides is black 3M quilted mesh. It reflects in the dark to keep you visible for late-night outings. You’ll also notice patches of University Blue suede beneath — just above the also-suede-coated midsole. Finally, there’s more blue suede on the heel.
There’s Jordan branding at the top of the lace box, along with black laces that strap over a ventilated black suede tongue. The tongue itself features a University Blue-embroidered Jumpman. You’ll see that same Jumpman on the black insole as well.
What really makes this shoe pop, however, is the iconic green holographic emblem on the lateral heel. It shows an image of Jordan soaring against a number “23” background. A textured black outsole in wavy shapes cascades over the suede midsole. Under that are the typical traction patterns in white tread, along with a blue holographic emblem at the midfoot.
Fans of the Tar Heels will especially love the color palette of these shoes. If you’re cheering on MJ’s alma mater, pair these kicks with a jersey of your favorite players and some jeans. They’d also look great with a UNC hoodie and some matching sweats.
University Blue and black are an iconic matchup on this latest colorway of the Air Jordan 13.
