Sneakers Release – Jordan 13 Retro “Del Sol” Colorway Launches in Full Family Sizing March 19

On March 19, the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Del Sol” White/University Red/Del Sol colorway launches in toddler, preschool, grade school and men’s sizes online and in-stores at Hibbett | City Gear. 

The launch shoe’s design follows the traditional colorblocking seen on all Air Jordan 13 releases. The quilted, tumbled leather overlay covering the bulk of the upper is a crisp white, matching the tongue and tumbled leather toebox. 

Low-nap suede, in Del Sol yellow, contributes to the springy cheerfulness of this Retro Air Jordan silhouette, with black rubber pods outlining the entire sneaker package.

This heritage Jumpman shoe stays true to its roots with durable, quality construction materials and details befitting an NBA icon. A series of punctuations along the shoe’s lacing system will keep anyone cool under pressure, whether during preK basketball games or everyday wear. Asymmetrical, triple-stitched overlays include tidy lines and precise circles. A nylon Jordan tag rests at the bottom of the laces, while a University Red Jumpman plays out on the tongue. 

The silhouette’s iconic holographic “eye” glints at the ankle, giving this shoe its cat-like appearance, reminiscent of His Airness’ feline-like prowess on the court. Strategic herringbone traction panels come in white along the outsole, with red and black detailing scattered throughout. 

B-grade Air Jordan 13s in 2018 — titled Carmelo Anthony’s “Class of 2022” — run similar to “Del Sol,” swapping out materials and a black upper in favor of the white. The shoes, however, never actually released, so after much hype, this Del Sol is a satisfying substitute.
