Pucker up and get ready for the latest Jordan Retro colorway launching into the sneakersphere this month. Inspired by none other than your favorite makeup staple, the women’s-exclusive Jordan 14 Retro Low “Lipstick” releases in a Black, Gym Red and Metallic Platinum colorway on September 16 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Swathed in luxe black and a vibrant scarlet shate, this Air Jordan 14 Retro Low is reminiscent MJ‘s sneakers during his sixth championship run.

A mix of black suede and nubuck covers the upper, giving the Retro low sillhouette the silky matte finish of a little black dress. But you’ll soon notice the pop of red on the tongue, laces, collar and eyestay. Frosted-platinum aglets call to mind earrings or other jewelry. On the heel, a red Jordan logo runs vertically on a patch of black.

The speckled black midsole adds a touch of flirty fun, especially with its jagged points extending up the forefoot. You’ll find a typical low-profile Zoom Air unit inside, which gives you comfort while you’re walking around town.

The fun continues inside the shoe. The insole is covered with lipstick prints on black underneath a soaring white Jumpman. The sockliner also gets various shades of red and lipstick-like writing. Rumor on the street is that the shoes will also arrive in lipstick-stained tissue paper.

Likely, you don’t need any help being a femme fatale, but these shoes certainly can’t hurt. They include every ingredient you need to be a showstopper. Just imagine pairing them with a bright red hoodie and black shorts. Or, you could even blend the line between high fashion and street fashion by throwing on your favorite slinky black cocktail dress.

The AJ 14 Retro Low “Red Lipstick” colorway drops online and in stores on September 16 in women’s sizes. As one of the hottest sneaker releases of the year, pairs won’t be up for grabs for long. Want to know how to give yourself your best chance at bagging some for yourself?
