One of the most popular OG colorways of the Air Jordan 2 is the “Chicago” colorway — and for good reason! It’s the ultimate ode to Michael Jordan’s beloved team, the Chicago Bulls. Now, we’re about to see that original shoe return for the first time since 2004.

The Jordan 2 Retro “Chicago” colorway comes in a mix of white, Varsity Red and black that’ll look familiar. And the real kicker is that it’s offered in full family sizing. You’ll be able to catch this Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore design in men’s, women’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kid’s sizes starting December 30.

As a celebration of 35 years since its original release, this new drop returns to us as a nearly identical copy of the 1986 design. White leather covers the upper, with a textured overlay across the middle. Ventilation holes line the front of the shoe in a symmetrical bend.

Black laces stand out against the white background, held tightly in place by white grommets. The high ankle is padded with black trim to keep you comfortable. On the white leather tongue, you’ll see the original Air Jordan basketball logo in red and black. Inside the shoe is a black insole with white Nike Air branding.

On the heel are black and red overlays separated by a red accent piece. Above this, you’ll see the word “Nike” printed in red. All of this sits atop a black midsole that wraps around the whole shoe uninterrupted. Beneath that is the white and red rubber outsole that offers excellent traction whether you’re courtside or in the game.

As far as modern basketball shoes go, you have much better options than the AJ 2. That said, your look should still be basketball-inspired when wearing these. We recommend a pair of black crew socks with black athletic or bike shorts. Throw that on with a white MJ tee, and you’ll be set.
