The Jordan 4 Retro “Messy Room” colorway drops in grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and infant sizes January 7 at Hibbett | City Gear.
You know how kids are always leaving their rooms messy? Jordan Brand gets that—so much so that this annoyance is the inspiration for a new kids’-exclusive colorway.
The Air Jordan 4 GS “Messy Room” is available in grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and infant sizes. It uses a mix of French Blue, Gym Red, Chutney and white for a primary-color-forward palette that’ll look great stacked on top of a pile of dirty clothes. It’s been delayed several times, but crossing our fingers, it should drop on January 7.
A primarily blue and white base has several overlays on top. First, the blue nubuck toe features shiny patent leather around the toe box. What appears to be white corduroy covers the ankle, along with another patent leather white overlay at the heel. White mesh panels cover up the blue upper on the middle and lace box.
Monochromatic blue waffle eyelets hold the blue laces in place at the bottom of the shoe, but near the ankle, these eyelets turn to a vivid yellow. These upper yellow eyelets connect to the white ankle wing that offers extra support for little feet.
The white tongue features a blue Jumpman, which contrasts nicely with the red ankle padding. Naturally, there’s an additional blue Jumpman on the white heel, along with another white waffle-like heel clip.
A crisp and clean white midsole has a peek-a-boo panel in the heel for the Air unit that once set MJ flying. Beneath that is the traditional white rubber outsole with red detailing at the toe and heel.
This retro basketball shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield certainly looks refreshed in this new palette. With its bold primary colors, your kids would look super cute wearing them with jeans and a Jordan tee. Keep the socks basic white or go with red or yellow for a pop.
While your kid’s room may be a mess, the AJ 4 “Messy Room” is not. This crisp silhouette will bring some necessary fresh air to your child’s closet. Clear away the clutter to make room for these kicks in grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and infant sizes starting January 7, when you can grab them online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.Miss out on the big release?
