New year, new shoes? Yes, please. And this latest from the Jumpman doesn’t disappoint. On Jan. 7, you can cop the Air Jordan 7 Retro special edition in a “Black Olive” colorway.
Available at Hibbett | City Gear, this handsome “Black Olive” men’s sneaker features notes of Neutral Olive, Cherrywood Red, Chutney and Black for a sophisticated take on a heritage Jordan sneaker.
The base color of this shoe is a neutral olive leather, which includes various-sized perforations sprinkled along the quarter panels. Low-nap black suede composes the overlays of the shoe, forming its recognizable structure and adding to the gravitas of the release.
A Cherrywood Red embroidered Jumpman rests near the ankle, nicely tying into the red and yellow jagged peaks that zig and zag along the black midsole. All the shoe’s tones play out in geometric shapes at the top of the tongue, while plush black satin lines the interior and the remainder of the tongue. The high-cut heel includes an elongated tongue tab with tribal-like patterns and the Nike Air branding embroidered in Chutney.
Exterior looks aside, this shoe features a soft foam midsole with encapsulated Air in the heel for all-day comfort. Premium materials and thoughtfully crafted design have continued to make this shoe relevant long since its initial early ’90s release.
