Remember the women’s exclusive Jordan Retro 4 “Blank Canvas” that dropped earlier this year? Well, now it looks like men are getting in the fun as well — with a twist.

The new Jordan Retro 4 SE “Black Canvas” turns things dark and mysterious with a mostly black construction. Many are saying it looks similar to the super limited edition Eminem x Carhartt Air Jordan 4 that sold at auction in 2016 for a pretty penny. These kicks could be a much more affordable alternative.

Black canvas covers the upper, except for a patch of black suede at the toe and mesh paneling at the middle. Gray TPU eyelets connect to a black ankle piece. They help to strap in black laces covering a black tongue.

On the tongue branding, a gray Jumpman soars toward the basket with MJ’s signature in red beneath. The reverse side keeps it simple with an “Air Jordan” tag in black and red. At the heel, you’ll see a gray patch with a lighter gray oversized Jumpman. This sits below the waffle-tread heel clip.

A shiny black TPU support sits above the white midsole, which features a see-through Air unit panel at the heel. Under this is a gray, black, red and white outsole with traction patterns to help you keep your grip.

Considering this shoe is a special edition, you won’t want to bring it anywhere near the court. Instead, limit wearing them to showcasing your street style.
