Get the look of last year’s “Military Blue” release with black stepping in for the 2021 colorway. The “Military Blacks” will be available in toddler, preK and grade school boys’ shoes, as well as men’s sizes. Filled with show-stopping style, the soulful Air Jordan 4s — which were initially released in the late ’80s — are every bit as coveted now as they were back in Michael Jordan’s playing days.

The “Military Black” edition includes signature Tinker Hatfield innovations, like the mesh netting inlaid into the shoe’s quarter panels, the Air-Sole window at the heel and an innovative lace lock system that gives anyone — young or old — the freedom to style their laces for a custom fit and feel.

A white leather upper sets the tone for the Air Jordan 4 Retro’s sporty yet casual style. Black peers through the open weave of the side cutouts and the shoe’s lacing system while also outlining the midsole and creating a nice backdrop for the embossed Jumpman insignia at the heel.

Light, Neutral Grey suede overlays line the toe, tying into the grey wing tabs and sockliner. A nylon tongue tag includes the Flight logo, with the underside of the tongue receiving an upside-down “Air Jordan” nylon tag. The black heel tab suggests the look of a race car spoiler. Wearers also will enjoy the classic, strategic herringbone outsole for unparalleled traction, no matter where the day or night takes them.

The AJ 4 Retro “White/Black/Neutral Grey” colorway drops online and in stores on May 21 in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes. As one of the hottest sneaker releases of the year, pairs won’t be up for grabs for long. Want to know how to give yourself your best chance at bagging some for yourself?
