Allen Iverson blessed the Philadelphia 76ers in 1996 when he became The Answer to their prayers. After drafting Iverson, the team suddenly became a top contender in the NBA—and in style. It was The Answer’s bold style decisions—like wearing baggy pants and sleeveless jerseys on game days—that made the league institute a new dress code policy.
Iverson’s aggressive strides on and off the court is one of the reasons Reebok tapped him to create his own signature shoe, the Reebok Question. Now, 25 years later, we’re seeing a reboot in a nice blue palette.
The Question Low “Blueprint” is rocking a monochromatic baby blue color scheme that would contrast nicely with the darker blue and red of the 76ers uniform. This cool-toned style will hit stores on May 20 in men’s sizes.
Light blue suede covers the entirety of the upper, broken up only by the white branding on the heel, side panels and tongue. At a quick glance, these white lines kind of resemble hand-drawn sketches on a typical architectural blueprint. The sole unit also matches this same blue tone, creating a uniform, almost one-piece look.
Inside the shoe, you’ll see insoles printed with blueprints—a clear nod to how Iverson was the blueprint for the future of both the 76ers and the league. The blueprints are more than just symbolism, though—they’re actually original design sketches from the shoe’s creator, Scott Hewett.
Otherwise, you’ll see the classic Hexalite cushioning peaking through transparent panels at the heel and midfoot. Additionally, at the heel, there is a stitched number “3” to indicate Iverson’s number for most of his career.
Wondering how to style this shoe? An obvious choice would be to wear it with any of Iverson’s old jerseys. He’d likely approve of the bold clash of colors. You can also draw inspiration from A.I.’s style by going with baggy shorts and an oversized T-shirt.
If you’re considering the new Reebok Question Low “Blueprint” men’s basketball shoe, you already know the answer—you need to have this in your collection. Make sure you’re ready when it drops on May 20, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
