The Jordan 5 Retro SE “UNC” men’s shoe drops March 4 at Hibbett | City Gear.
Tired of the rain, cold and snow? Get ready for the sunny days and blue skies ahead. The Jumpman can help usher in spring with its latest drop. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 4, for the launch of the Air Jordan 5 Retro SE “UNC” in men’s sizes.
A powdery Carolina Blue soft suede composes the entire upper, curving along the overlays tinting the translucent TPU eyestays and informing the clear blue lace locks. The shoe keeps its signature clear mesh-like netting along the quarter panels and the shoe’s throat, set atop blue mesh.
Jagged-edge zigzags on the otherwise black midsole are white with blue speckling, and the exposed Air unit rests in the heel of the sneaker. A silvery 3M reflective tongue tag with black embroidered Jumpman logo serves as an eye-catching pop when it flashes in the light.
The “UNC” edition includes an almost velvety sockliner with a Carolina Blue textured weave and shiny finish, creating plush interior padding for a slightly modified design update. A nylon “Team Jumpman” tag gets stitched to the heel in place of traditional branding. Cast in smooth black, the rubber outsole features translucent herringbone overlays at the forefoot and heel, with the Jumpman peeking through near the front end. Sunny days and blue skies will be here before you know it.
