Sneakers Release – Jordan 6 Retro “Bordeaux” Launches in Full Family Sizes 9/4

The Air Jordan 6, originally released in 1991, is celebrating the big 3-0 in style with a new “Bordeaux” colorway. This wine-inspired scheme will come in an array of family sizing. The Bordeaux AJ 6 Retro drops on September 4 in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler sizes.

This shoe drew some inspiration from the AJ 7 “Bordeaux” colorway because the color and styling are nearly identical. A grey nubuck upper has the same perforations along the middle that you know and love from the OG model. Jagged black overlays cut across the center as well, attaching at the laces and blending into the black ankle overlay. Black continues around to the heel, where there is also a black embroidered Jumpman logo.

The front of the shoe is where the indulgent wine references come into play. A silky and shiny plum tongue guard sits beneath the black laces, while a dash of blue and gold jagged designs peeks through the transparent upper tongue. You’ll find that same blue and gold pattern on the insole, as well as a touch of plum on the sports-car-inspired heel clip. The bright orange lace toggle featuring the Jumpman logo pulls the whole look together.

On the adult and grade school kids’ shoes, a translucent outsole lets you peek at the Air units at the heel and forefront. The smaller kids’ shoes just come with a standard grey outsole that matches the overall vibe of the shoe.

There’s only one word to describe this shoe: smooth. It looks like something you could wear anytime you need to add an air of sophistication to your daily streetwear look. Sure, it will pair just fine with your typical joggers and tees, but it might also look fresh with a pair of jeans for a night on the town with friends. And kids will look dapper, even if they’re still finding their footing when it comes to style.
