The Jordan Zion 2 is finally here! And its latest colorway is smooth like butter, suave as Silk Sonic and sleek as Zion Williamson’s on-court moves. These cutting-edge, new Jordan basketball shoes feature a predominantly white base, black, Volt and Dynamic Turquoise and pink.

Zion Williamson sat out most of the last season owing to injury. Typically, however, this elite athlete — vaunted by the Jumpman brand — shimmers on the court as he swoops through the air with acrobatic ease. The Jordan Zion 2 helps propel any player forward, thanks to a revolutionary Air system and supreme containment features.

A white forefoot strap ensures total lockdown, while reinforced sidewalls contribute to containment, by cradling the foot to ensure it remains in place.

A blend of white leather, synthetic materials and mesh inform much of the sneaker’s upper, offering plenty of breathability by way of perforations along the forefoot and quarter panels. The breathable overlays extend from the lacing system, creating reinforcement along high-abrasion areas of the midfoot. The quarter panel piece reaches up to form the lacing system’s third-from-top eyestay, and the laces thread behind the Zion-branded neoprene tongue emblem — all of which creates a unique system of containment while allowing the wearer to still access their full range of mobility.

The upper’s design remains deceptively simple, belying the tech contained within. This Zion 2 basketball shoe’s tongue, lacing system, ankle collar and heel come dressed in black. Zion’s logo on the tongue is turquoise, with a Volt-colored Jumpman insignia on the heel and a neon pink Strobel badge. Minuscule pink Jumpmen sit near the forefoot of the sneaker.

Speaking of Strobel, the Zion 2 is the first shoe in Williamson’s lineup to feature the newest, larger Air Strobel unit in the heel, offering exceptional cushioning where the Pelicans power forward needs it most. The shoe’s rubber outsole includes Zion’s signature logo outlined in radiating waves of traction.
