Sneakers Release – Nike Air Force 1 Low PRM “Black/University Red” Men’s & Grade School Kids’ Shoes Dropping 11/12

Nov 2, 2022

For years, Houston has been a center of hip-hop and streetwear culture. From world-class acts like Megan Thee Stallion to Travis Scott, Houston is like a rapper’s mecca. To pay tribute, Nike is releasing a new colorway of its 40-year-old Air Force 1.

The Air Force 1 “H-Town” brings some hometown love to the Space City. It’s adorned in University Red and black — likely a nod to the Houston Rockets. However, small musical motifs throughout prove that a basketball team wasn’t the only inspiration here. You can catch these shoes on November 12 in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes sizes.

A mix of black velvet and black leather covers the upper. You’ll see the velvet in the toe box and middle — it’s reminiscent of a velour tracksuit from the ’90s. Black leather surrounds the toe box and covers the eyestays, ankle and heel.

At the heel, you’ll notice the embossed Nike branding is spray painted with a red overlay — almost like street artwork. Also prominent is the metallic silver Swoosh that runs across the middle.

On the black laces, you’ll see a fun “H-Town” lace dubrae. Naturally, both the tongue and ankle padding are made of soft-looking red velvet that keeps your feet cozy all day long. The tongue branding is your typical white tag with Nike Air Force 1 imagery.

The insole adds even more personality to this kick, as it features a white cassette tape Nike logo. There’s also a white midsole, along with a bright red outsole with pivot traction circles.

Obviously, these shoes would look great with your red and black Rockets gear. But if you’re looking for a way to style them outside of the Toyota Center, try them with no-show ankle socks and casual jeans or joggers. Finish with your hoodie of choice or a baggy tee.

Wear shoes as original as your old homemade mixtapes when you choose the Air Force 1 “H-Town” kicks. They showcase everything you love about Houston, making them the perfect pick for Red Rowdies and hip-hop enthusiasts alike. Grab them on November 12 in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes, online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.Missed out on release day? No worries!
