Once a work boot, now a fashion statement, Timberlands are beloved by hip-hop junkies and industry professionals alike. And with two new styles on the horizon, you’ll get to choose your own adventure when it comes to how to accessorize.
The Timberland 6-Inch Field Boot and the Timberland Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Premium Boot both come in “Hazel” and “Dark Brown/Full Grain” full grain leather. They’re both launching in men’s sizes on November 5.
Taking a look at the Field Boot first, you’ll notice it has all the features you need for outdoor life. Brown breathable mesh patches at the middle and ankle keep you from overheating on strenuous hikes. The rest of the shoe is covered in dark brown leather that adds timeless durability.
Metallic gold D-ring eyelets hold the red laces in place. Timberland tongue branding lets everyone know what brand you support, as does the embossed logo on the lateral ankle. The high-ankle construction offers soft-looking brown padding at the top. Underfoot, a non-marking rubber outsole lets you stomp on whatever terrain you desire.
The Premium Boot has a slightly different vibe. It’s outfitted entirely in dark leather from an LWG Silver-rated tannery, meaning there are no ventilation patches. Of course, this is what makes it waterproof, so that puddle doesn’t stand a chance against you. Slightly matte golden hexagonal eyelets keep the classic boot laces tight and supportive around your feet. They’re also rustproof so they stay looking classy for years to come.
You’ll see an embossed Timberland logo on the lateral heel, but the tongue is noticeably absent of branding. Threads attach the bottom part of the upper to the top half, with stitching also along the heel and ankle. The ankle padding here looks to be a smoother leather with a slightly darker tone. The traditional rubber lug outsole features a faux-wood look to help you appear even more rugged.
Styling either of these pairs of Timbs is all about staying cool. They look great with both jeans and joggers — as long as you make sure to tuck the bottom of your pants behind the tongue. You may even try the slightly unlaced look to make your style appear effortless. A bomber or leather jacket completes the ensemble.
The Timberland 6-Inch Field Boot and the Timberland 6-Inch Waterproof Premium Boot in “Hazel” and “Dark Brown/Full Grain” are the perfect mix of pop culture and durable outdoor wear, making them a good choice for your closet.
