The Nike Air Force 1 LV8 2 “Black/White” launches February 7 in grade school kids, preschool kids and toddler kids sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.
That’s especially true of the new Nike Air Force 1 LV8 2 “Panda.” We’ve seen glimpses of this shoe since last summer (it was meant to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary), but it looks like it’s finally ready to drop on February 7. Black and white revitalize Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design. Smooth black leather overlays cover the white leather upper around the toe, ankle, heel and eyestays.
Classic black laces strap up over a white tongue. At the top of the lace box, they also feature a silver lace charm that reads “AF1” and a small white embroidered Swoosh. On the tongue itself, you’ll see a black patch with white Nike Air Force 1 branding. That same branding is also on the black insole.
The middle of the shoe features a white Swoosh that’s outlined in a thin black strip to help it stand out. The white of the Swoosh carries around the heel and gets trapped under a black overlay with more Nike Air branding.
If you think the white midsole looks a little chunkier than usual, your eyes do not deceive you — that’s just the LV8’s elevated sole. To let everyone know what you’re packing, the word “Air” appears on the lateral side heel. Beneath this is a black outsole featuring traction circle patterns at the forefoot and heel.
All in all, this is the perfect duo-chromatic shoe. Because it plays with a limited palette, that means you can go hard with your outfit. For kids, we think they’d look great with jeans and a red hoodie. They might also try something bolder, like royal joggers and a jean jacket.
The Nike Air Force 1 LV8 2 “Panda” is a classic for a reason.
